Feedback

One of the hotter topics on EBay is feedback.

My advice is don't leave negative feedback. If you do you will get one back. This is a link you can then use: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-abuse-withdrawal.html

To better show this the follow eBay story is being repeated.

On October 8th we held an auction and one buyer bought 2 items totaling $4150. We continual sent e-mails and and made phone calls. After 7 weeks we decided it was enough and decided to leave negative feeback for the buyer. Within 2 minutes the buyer had called and threatened us with negative feedback as well. even though you do nothing wrong, any buyer can do this to you.

The buyer "conceptual*appropriation " decided to leave very negative feedback on our account and completely lie about the situation. We contacted eBay with all of our documents and recorded phone messages but eBay couldn't do anything about retaliatory feedback. EBay would take no stand against this person even though he has a history of this when we looked into his feedback history. The buyer has had mutually withdrawn feedback from other eBay users 6 times in the passed year. He has also had 15 bid retractions on eBay during live auctions in the past year. This buyer has a history of disputes where he backs out of bids and threatens with bad feedback if you do not leave him alone.

In our business we take bidding very seriously and the only way eBay will remove my feedback is if we and the buyer choose to remove it mutually. I would be glad to do that if the buyer would pay for the items he bought and would have never left negative feedback if the buyer had called and said he made a mistake in the first 30 days.

But to never respond and then threaten me with negative feedback if I do not remove it?

No way go ahead, I will not be held at gun point by a buyer who wants to bid at auction and then not communicate at all until he gets negative feedback.

What is the system for? Why can anyone leave you negative feedback when they have not even tried to complete the transaction?

Sorry for the long rant but from dealing with eBay on this and being a victim my advice from this whole situation is: DO NOT LEAVE ANYONE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. EBAY CAN ONLY REMOVE THE STRIKE BUT NOT THE ACTUAL COMMENT. UNLESS THEY USE VULGAR LANGUAGE OR SOMEONE'S IDENTITY.

In the end I will keep my negative feedback from this customer because the damage is already done and i will not let him get away with it.
